Hello, I'm Hongzhuo Liang.
AI & Robotics · Animore
I am a roboticist working on AI and robotics at Animore, where I build learning-based perception and manipulation systems for real-world robots. My work spans robot grasping, dexterous manipulation and multimodal perception, with an emphasis on methods that transfer from simulation to physical hardware.
I received my Ph.D. in Informatics from the University of Hamburg in 2022, advised by Prof. Dr. Jianwei Zhang, and continued there as a postdoctoral research fellow. My research has been published at ICRA, IROS, RA-L and IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, and includes PointNetGPD for point-cloud grasp detection, multimodal reinforcement learning for multifingered grasping, and audio-haptic perception for robotic pouring.
